Under the Home Rule Charter adopted in 1961, the City is administered by a council/manager form of government with seven council members elected at large on a non-partisan basis for four-year terms. Elections are held every two years and rotate between three and four seats. The mayor, who is selected by council from its ranks, presides at council meetings and is the City representative at functions. City Council meetings are open to the public and held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 8:00 p.m. in City Council Chambers at the Municipal Buildings, 120 W. Loveland Avenue. The meetings are televised LIVE on Time Warner Cable's Channel 17 and rebroadcast multiple times until the next regular meeting. Air times are Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 9:00 p.m. A video tape recording of the meetings is available at the Loveland Branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County approximately one week following the meeting.
