City Upgrades Downtown Lighting

The City of Loveland has upgraded its downtown street lighting with the installation of forty-five (45) new LED lighting fixtures. The new fixtures which were attached to the existing poles will produce a more consistent light to the city’s streets improving safety, while reducing electric usage by approximately 18,000 kilowatts per year.  Additionally, the new lighting fixtures will greatly reduce the ongoing maintenance over the past sodium bulbs.  The city also added new LED lighting to a portion of Karl Brown Way earlier this year.
