4th of July Celebration 2005: Photo Contest

Calling all participants with a camera!  This year, the City will be holding a photo contest for all of those priceless snapshots you take during the 4th of July Celebration.  The contest is open to all amateur photographers with black and white or color prints.  Judging will be based on subject, creativity and composition. 

Photo Contest Rules

• The competition is open to amateurs only
• All prints must be no smaller than 5x7.  Digital photos are also acceptable and should be formatted to 72 dpi, no larger than 600 by 450 pixels and no smaller than 300 by 225 pixels.  Images should be submitted in JPG (at high quality) or TIFF format.  No allowances will be made for poor quality digital photos.
• You must be the sole author and owner of all photos entered.  Images must not have been digitally altered in any way other than necessary burning, dodging and cropping.
• Please include the following details with your submission on a separate sheet of paper:  your name, email address, a title for the photo, a brief statement on your thoughts on the photo, where the photo was taken and the equipment used to take it.  All photos will be judged anonymously.

• Photographs will become the property of the City of Loveland and will not be returned.  Entry into the contest constitutes permission for the City to use the prints for publication and understanding of rules.  The City of Loveland cannot be held responsible for damage to or loss of photos.

• Photos must have been taken at this year’s City of Loveland 4^th of July Celebration 2005.

• Winners will be notified by mail.  All applicants who provide email addresses will be notified of results.  One winner from each age group will receive a gift basket.  Age groups are as follows:
