9/14/05: Loveland City Council Names Carroll Interim City Manager: The Loveland City Council named Assistant City Manager Tom Carroll as Interim City Manager at the Sept. 13, 2005 City Council Meeting. Mr. Carroll will begin serving in this capacity on November 1, 2005, after City Manager Fred Enderle begins his employment with Piqua, Ohio.
Loveland Mayor Brad Greenberg said, "We are confident in selecting Tom Carroll. Loveland is fortunate to have a highly capable administrator to fill this position on an interim basis. The City has a number of important projects that Tom can keep on track." Greenberg added that he expects City Council to nominate a search committee for the next city manager in late September or early October. With four of seven council seats up for reelection, the new Council that will be seated in December of this year will select the next City Manager.
Tom Carroll has been Assistant City Manager since November of 2001. He holds master's degrees in public affairs and sociology from Indiana University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia. During his almost four year tenure with Loveland, Carroll has been the project manager for a wide range of economic development, infrastructure and policy projects. Mr. Carroll lives in Loveland with his wife and two children.
