Williams, Walker, Wakefield: Neighborhood Project

- 5/20/05: Waterline Replacement Update: The City will be paving the following roads starting Monday, May 23, 2005 depending on weather: Wakefield from Oak Street to the dead end, Walker from Oak to Ash, Williams from Paxton to Oak, Oak from Williams to Hanna, Walnut from Wakefield to Hanna and all of Ash. Once the paving is complete, the contractor will be coming back in to repair/regrade areas were the grass has not grown.
- 3/7/05: Waterline Replacement Update: Trend Construction has completed the construction of the new 8water main on the entire project including the installation of the service lines and disconnecting the old 4 water main. They are currently fixing the areas in the road were the waterline crossed. A different crew will be coming in at the beginning of April, depending on weather, to complete all the final grading and seeding of the yards and ditches that were disturbed during construction. Once the grading is complete the roads will be milled and paved. Thank you for your patience during construction. - 1/19/05: Waterline Replacement Update: Trend Construction has completed the construction of the water main on Williams, Oak and Wakefield. The next road they will be constructing water main on will be Walker which should start on Thursday, January 20, 2005, depending on weather. Please note that they will not be connecting the service lines to each home until all the water main is completed and has been tested to ensure it is operational and safe for consumption.
- 1/5/05: Waterline Replacement Update: Trend Construction has started the water line replacement and is currently working on Oak Street at the corner of Oak and Wakefield. They have completed the construction of the water main on Williams and a portion of Oak. The next road they will be constructing water main on will be Wakefield which should start on Friday, January 7, 2005, depending on weather. Please note that they will not be connecting the service lines to each home until all the water main is completed and has been tested to ensure it is operational and safe for consumption.
- Beginning Monday, December 20, 2004: Trend Construction will begin work on the water line replacement project. All road traffic will be maintained to at least one lane with flaggers. They will be starting at the intersection of Williams & Broadway, proceeding down Williams to Oak and then onto Walker and finishing at Wakefield. The project will be completed in three stages, however dates are approximate estimates and are subject to change:
- They will first install the new water main, which should be completed at the end of January
- They will come by and connect each house to the new waterline after it has been tested to ensure it is operational and safe for consumption, which should be complete at the end of February.
- They will mill and pave the project area, expected to take place in mid April.
