Welcome to the Loveland Police Division. The Loveland Police Division is a full service police department operating 24 hours and day and 7 days a week. We offer a variety of services for our community. Dennis Sean Rahe, Police Chief

Rahe Dennis 9511 retSean Rahe graduated from Moeller High School in 1991. In 1994 he earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati.

Sean started as a police officer in Loveland in 1998. He was active on the bike patrol team and as a field training officer. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2007, then promoted to Assistant Chief in 2010. In March of 2016 he as appointed as Loveland’s Chief of Police.

Sean is a graduate of the Supervisor Training and Education Program, Police Executive Leadership College, the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Police Academy, and is currently enrolled in the Certified Law Enforcement Executive Program.

Sworn Police Officers

The department employs 16 full time police officers including the police chief, captain, three sergeants, detective, school resource officer, and nine patrol officers. In addition to the full time staff, the department employs up to five part time officers.

Administrative Staff

The department employs a full time records administrator and a full time mayor’s court clerk. The offices are located in the Loveland Safety Center and are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
